Vintage 1930s Art Deco Ruffle Front Blouse
Can't you picture wearing this vintage ivory chiffon blouse from the 1930s with high waisted slacks or a skirt and jacket. Well, you certainly could! This is a great piece, as wearable and stylish today as when it was new. Wether you are trying to create a vintage look or an edgy, contemporary style, this blouse is a must have piece and will be a staple of your wardrobe!
Knife pleated ruffles around the neckline and doubled on either side of the front opening soften the front and add a dash of panache. Closure is with snaps topped with glass buttons carved from frosted to clear with a circular art deco design. A small black grosgrain ribbon bow accents the neckline. The short sleeves are not seamed on the underside but are left open for ease of wear. Yoked from below the bust line to the hem for a more fitted appearance with self ties from the side seams to the back.
Overall condition is very good with one tiny rust spot on the left sleeve as you can see in the photos. Otherwise clean, strong and wearable with no rips, holes or stains.
