French Tambour Embroidered Dance Purse
Dating to the 1920s, this fine tambour embroidered dance purse is worked on black watered silk faille. The frame is embossed with a floral pattern on all sides as well as inside. With the clasp being ornamented with six gold colored paste jewels. The interior is lined in peach silk with two elasticized pockets though the elastic does not have the snap it originally did. A matching coin envelope tucks easily into one of the pockets.
Overall condition is excellent!
Measures 4.5" wide by 4.5" tall including the clasp with a 12" chain.
