French Lamé Shawl with Roses

Gold lamé silk is woven with a gold metallic pattern of roses and art deco geometric's on this outstanding shawl from the 1920s. The shawl fabric is also printed in a multi-colored floral adding dimension and an explosion of color. As beautiful on the back of the shawl, where some elements of the design become more apparent, as it is on the front. These shawls are as highly prized today as they were at the height of their popularity in the 1920s and this piece is certainly outstanding.

Could easily be worn to complete a special evening outfit or used to accent your home decor by draping casually over the arm of a chair or a piano. Condition is excellent with no rips, holes, repairs or stains. The black silk fringe is lush and free from tangles.

Measures 54" square with a 17" fringe.
