20s Gold Lamé Evening Wrap
This gorgeous evening wrap of burgundy and gold metallic brocade is lined with black silk velvet that also forms the high, ruched collar. Dating to the 1920's, this wrap closes at the neckline with black velvet ties that fall elegantly in the front. Evening capes and wraps such as this were a must for fashionable evening wear. The lustrous fabric with its metallic thread shimmered beautifully and added a beautiful glow to any outfit. Just as stylish and wearable today as it was in the 20s!
Overall the condition is excellent. No rips, holes, stains or repairs. An occasional thread pull may be found but nothing major or detracting and these may be clipped if desired. The lame is bright and does not appear to have any tarnish to the metallic threads.
