1970's Geoffrey Beene Boutique Halter Dress
What a wonderful dress for a garden party! Light as a feather in orange chiffon with white dots and woven satin stripe. The fabric is bias cut so the stripes are on the diagonal adding more dimension and flare to the overall design. The neckline and back are outlined in lush double ruffles which serve to frame the face. Waistline is circled with off white silk ribbon, bowed in the front. Back closure with nylon zipper and hooks and eyes at waistline. Fully lined in orange cotton blend fabric.
Labels for Geoffrey Beene Boutique and Silver Key from Neiman-Marcus are sewn in on either side of the zipper. The Silver Key was the Neiman Marcus equivelent of the appointment only, high end designer salons found in other department stores.
