1930s Chiffon Afternoon Dress
Absolutely charming, this floral print silk chiffon is strewn with pink cabbage roses and white hydrangea on a navy background. The neckline is draped in the front and forms a wide, floaty shawl collar in the back. Beneath the front drape peeks lace that lines the upper portion of the bodice attached to the lining of peachy pink silk. A self sash closes behind two huge silk roses of peach and black centered with yellow and white stamens. Side closure with snaps. The overall condition is excellent and does not look as though it was worn very often if at all. No rips or stains and only the very slightest of fraying has been found at the hemline for about two inches. Of course, chiffon is a delicate fabric and while this dress is wearable we would urge caution to avoid damage to an otherwise stellar piece!
