1920's Liberty & Co., London Velvet Cloche
A fashionable yet sporty 1920's velvet flapper cloche from Liberty & Company of Regent Street, London. Liberty has been known for their fashionable clothing well before their floral prints. This fitted 20s hat is made of soft green velvet with rows of machine stitching forming a plaid pattern across the crown and concentric circles around the brim which can be worn turned up in the back or down. A strip of velvet forms the self band with small bow on the right side.
Lined in bronze silk twill with woven silk label stitched in the back. Overall condition is very good with no rips, holes or stains. Very minor soiling to interior lining.
Inside circumference measures 21" to 22".
