1920s Handmade Filet Lace Chemise Dress

Handmade mixed lace chemise dress, combines both filet lace and Battenburg like tape lace for a very delicate and feminine effect. The height of fashion in the 1920s, would make a perfect wedding dress today! The tape lace encircles the armscyes and works its way down both sides of the dress to the hips where the filet lace is gathered in to form the skirt. The tape lace continues diagonally from the hips, meeting in a V at the center front and back hemlines. In addition there are appliques of the tape lace at the center necklines, both front and back as well as at alternating points around the hemline.

The condition is excellent and wearable. Shown over a period teddy that is not included but gives an idea as to the style of slip that would be appropriate to wear with this piece.
