1880s Victorian Lady's Floral Hat
Dating to the 1880s, this lovely velvet hat from R. H. Stearns in Boston was meant more as decoration than it was as protection from the weather. Rich brown velvet is decorated with lavender and yellow violets under a crown of a matching velvet bow and large black glass, jet buckle.
Condition is very good to excellent with very minor loss to the nap of the velvet along the edges. Certainly nothing that would detract from this beautiful Victorian hat.
Measures 8" from front to back edge and 20" in circumference.
